What is the Old Timers Quiz?

The Old Timers quiz is a chance for people too old to quiz to try it out once a year. It is a great oppurtunuty for coaches and parents to see what kind of effort their kids put in all year, even though we only cover a fraction of the matieral the youth study

What style of quizzing do you follow?

We follow the Missionary Church rules. You can view the rule book here. There will be a round robin portion to the tournament, and then an elimination tournament. Every team is guaranteed at least 6 quizzes.

What material will be covered?

The tournament will cover Hebrews 11, and 1Peter 1-5

What are the quotes for this tournament?

We will use a modified missionary church youth quote list
Hebrews 11:1-31
1 Peter 1:6-9, 13-25
1 Peter 2:1-6, 9, 10, 21-25
1 Peter 3:1-4, 7-14, 17
1 Peter 4:1, 2, 6-8, 12-16
1 Peter 5:4-9
Note, there will be no FTV questions that start with by faith

Who can quiz?

We welcome any team from any style of quizzing to join us. In the past teams from Maryland have even driven out to quiz

What is the age limit?

You must no longer be quizzing in youth quizzing. This means that you must be turning 21 at some point before August 1st, or are in College and have chosen to no longer quiz youth quizzing.

What is the team make up?

For the most part, we encourage teams to come as Church Teams, made up of adults who either currently attend the church, or attended that church as a youth Quizzer. If you are an adult without a team, please contact us, and we will make every effort to connect you with a team

What if I can not find a team?

Send me an email anyway. I may be able to pair you up with other people who also can not find a team. We want everyone who would like to quiz to have that chance.

What can I do with my young children?

A staffed nursery will be available while quizzing is going on. Bring your kids and place them in the nursery while you have to quiz
